Ocean Albatros, the 6th INFINITY-class newbuild of SunStone Maritime Group, has been delivered from CMHI Shipyard in China.
Ocean Albatros will start her repositioning and then will be chartered year-round to Albatros Expeditions.
The INFINITY-class SunStone ships have length 104 m, width 18 m, draft 5 m, passenger capacity between 130-200 and crew capacity 85-115 - depending on the ship charterer.
The ships have Ice Class 1A hulls and Polar Code 6 standards, with an X-Bow patented hull design (from Ulstein Design & Solutions), Safe Return to Port, Dynamic Positioning, and Zero Speed Stabilizers.
They also feature various modern amenities like a swimming pool, bars and lounges, restaurants, boutique shop, wellness facilities (gym, spa, sauna).
A total of six such ships have already been delivered to the USA-based SunStone, including the Ocean Albatros, Ocean Explorer, Ocean Victory, Sylvia Earle, Ocean Odyssey, and Greg Mortimer.
The last/7th unit from this series (Ocean Discoverer) will be delivered in Aug 2025, being rescheduled from 2023.
