Celestyal Cruises has revealed the details of its newly refurbished and technologically updated ship, Celestyal Journey (fka P&O Pacific Aria), which will embark on her maiden voyage on September 2nd, 2023.
Celestyal Journey offers a total of 7 dining venues, 8 bars and lounges, expansive sun decks, 2 pools, and an entire deck dedicated to wellness. Her 630 Dream Suites and Cosmos Cabins are designed to provide a relaxing and tranquil environment for guests as they embark on their Aegean Sea voyages. One notable addition is the Stargazer Suite, the line's first-ever penthouse with a private terrace. The ship also features 120 Junior Dream Suites and 28 Grand Dream Suites, each equipped with balconies.
Guests staying in the Dream Suites have exclusive access to The Beach Club, a secluded outdoor space with amenities such as ice cream stations and juice corners. Guests in the Grand Dream Suites enjoy additional privileges, including Celestyal's concierge service, which features a dedicated priority check-in counter, expedited embarkation, express luggage delivery, and assistance with unpacking. A dedicated concierge is available in the exclusive-use Compass Lounge to cater to the needs of Grand Suite guests.
For entertainment, guests have a wide range of options, including The Amphitheatro, a live show lounge spanning two decks, live music performances throughout the ship, cooking workshops, and inspiring lectures. The ship also offers various activities and facilities to keep younger guests entertained, such as a Kids Club and arcade games.
Additionally, the Celestyal Journey features two fully equipped conference rooms, making it an ideal choice for meetings and incentives, in addition to its multi-purpose Amphitheatro.
Celestyal Journey will replace Celestyal Crystal and initially operate on the popular 7-night "Idyllic Aegean" itinerary, which includes visits to Athens (Piraeus), Thessaloniki, Kusadasi, Heraklion (Crete), Santorini, Mykonos, and Milos.
After the inaugural "Idyllic Aegean" sailings starting on September 2nd, the Celestyal Journey will continue with the "Steps of Paul" itinerary in October, calling on Athens, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Istanbul, Dikili, Kusadasi, and Patmos. This will be followed by the 7-night "Three Continents" itinerary, visiting Greece, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, and Turkey.
