CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's flagship Carnival Jubilee has officially set sail from Galveston, marking the first debut of a brand-new cruise vessel in the Texas port. Welcoming 6,000+ guests on her inaugural cruise over the Christmas holiday, the ship embarked on a week-long Western Caribbean itinerary on Sunday, December 24, bringing a festive atmosphere to her first passengers.

CCL's President Christine Duffy extended a warm welcome to guests boarding the Fun Ship at the recently enhanced Galveston Wharves' Terminal 25, which underwent a US$53-million upgrade in anticipation of Carnival Jubilee's arrival. This launch concludes a year of significant growth for Carnival Cruise Line, reinforcing its status as America's Cruise Line.

As the 5th of 6 ships added to the CCL fleet in less than 3 years, Carnival Jubilee plays a key role in the company's growth strategy and commitment to Galveston, one of her top homeports. The ship's year-round week-long cruises will explore popular destinations in the western Caribbean, including Honduras' Roatan Island, and Mexico's Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Carnival Jubilee has 18 decks and boasts 6 themed zones, offering a blend of enticing dining, beverage, and entertainment options. Two distinct zones, Currents and The Shores, pay homage to the ocean in unique ways. Currents immerses guests in an 'underwater' experience, housing Emeril's Bistro 717, the latest sea-bound restaurant by Carnival's Chief Culinary Officer, Emeril Lagasse. The Shores provides a whimsical 'boardwalk' setting with Rudi's Seagrill and the beloved Italian restaurant Cucina del Capitano.

Notable features on Carnival Jubilee include culinary offerings from Carnival's Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O'Neal, such as Big Chicken, along with Guy's Burger Joint and Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and Brewhouse by chef Guy Fieri. The ship introduces enhanced connectivity as the first cruise ship in North America to provide 5G capability and advanced satellite internet service. Additionally, it is the first cruise ship in Galveston utilizing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

With exciting innovations like the top-deck roller coaster "BOLT: The Ultimate SeaCoaster" and the 3-deck Atrium offering spectacular sea views by day and serving as a dynamic entertainment venue by night, Carnival Jubilee promises a unique and unforgettable travel experience.
