Princess Cruises has announced a third voyage in its 2026 Total Solar Eclipse series: a 14-day Mediterranean & Adriatic cruise aboard the Enchanted Princess. Departing roundtrip from Rome (Civitavecchia, Italy) on August 4, 2026, this journey will offer guests the opportunity to witness a total solar eclipse while exploring several notable ports across Southern Europe.
The eclipse is expected to occur on August 12, 2026, with a duration of 2 minutes and 18 seconds of totality, visible from a prime location off the coast of Eastern Spain. During the event, guests will gather on the ship's top decks, equipped with Princess eclipse viewing glasses, to observe the celestial phenomenon. Additional onboard programming will include lectures from astronomy experts, themed refreshments, stargazing sessions, and solar system trivia. Passengers are encouraged to bring personal telescopes and wear eclipse-themed attire.
The Enchanted Princess itinerary includes calls at Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples, Kotor, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Messina, Palermo, Gibraltar, Alicante, and Barcelona.
This voyage complements two other eclipse-focused Princess cruises: one aboard Sky Princess departing from Southampton UK on August 8, 2026, and another aboard Sun Princess offering various itineraries from Barcelona and Athens (Piraeus).
Bookings for the Enchanted Princess 14-day Mediterranean & Adriatic with Total Solar Eclipse cruise are now open through travel advisors, the Princess Cruises website, or by calling the cruise line directly.
