On May 31st, RCI-Royal Caribbean International's ship Ovation of the Seas is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Los Angeles' World Cruise Center, marking the first deployment of a Quantum Class RCI vessel from the Californian port.

This strategic deployment expands the company's presence on the West Coast USA and introduces new cruising options to the Mexican Riviera.

Beginning June 5th, Ovation OTS will offer a series of Baja California itineraries, including 3-night cruises to Ensenada, 5-night voyages featuring overnight stays in Cabo San Lucas, and 6-night journeys that combine both destinations. These sailings are designed to provide travelers with diverse experiences along Mexico's Pacific coastline.

The ship boasts advanced amenities such as the North Star observation capsule, offering panoramic ocean views, and the Bionic Bar, where robotic bartenders serve a variety of beverages. To commemorate its new deployment, Royal Caribbean has collaborated with Shondaland to celebrate the media company's 20th anniversary. Sweepstakes winners will participate in the inaugural "Shondaland at Sea" experience, which includes a private screening and a Q&A session with Shonda Rhimes and producer Betsy Beers, as well as trivia related to "Grey's Anatomy."

Ovation OTS will operate alongside Navigator of the Seas, which currently offers 3-, 4-, and 7-night Baja California itineraries from LA through October 2026. The addition of Ovation enhances Royal Caribbean's capacity on the West Coast, providing travel advisors with expanded options for clients interested in exploring Mexico's Pacific coast.

After completing its summer schedule, Ovation of the Seas is slated to reposition to Asia for the winter season, offering short cruises to Malaysia and Thailand departing from Singapore's Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
