The Australia-based Aurora Expeditions/fleet unveiled its 2027 Arctic & Beyond season, presenting 25 voyages scheduled for its two chartered expedition ships, Greg Mortimer and Sylvia Earle.
These voyages, offering durations between 8 and 16 days, will navigate some of the planet’s most remote waterways and coastlines—ranging from the high Arctic to the tropics—calling at Svalbard, Greenland, the Northwest Passage, Scotland, Iceland, Norway, the Faroe Islands, Costa Rica, and Panama.
The program balances fifteen Polar expeditions with 10 Discovery voyages and introduces new Special Edition sailings, designed to immerse guests more deeply in specific narratives and natural phenomena.
Among these offerings are expeditions titled Polar Bears in the Changing Arctic, produced in partnership with New Scientist Discovery Tours, The Arctic Women’s Expedition: Svalbard & Greenland, and Iceland & East Greenland – Through the Lens Photography.
The line also expands its Discovery program, launching multiple departures in Scotland, Costa Rica, Iceland, and combined Scotland–Norway itineraries. Adventurous activities such as paddling and snorkeling will be offered more extensively, and ten solo cabins will be available on all voyages, with no additional single‑occupancy surcharge. Early booking incentives of up to 25% discount will apply to selected departures.
Michael Heath (CEO) emphasized that the 2027 season exemplifies Aurora’s fundamental strengths, bringing responsible exploration to the world’s wildest frontiers. He pointed to encounters with polar bears in the Arctic and sea‑cliff landscapes in the Scottish Isles as deliberately crafted experiences to foster meaningful connections between passengers, nature, culture, and science.
Bookings are now open, and the operator encourages early reservations to secure optimal cabins and pricing offers.
