AIDA Cruises has reached its 29th year at sea, and the countdown to its 30th anniversary celebration in 2026 is officially underway.
Since the inaugural vessel (AIDAcara/now Astoria Grande) set sail from Rostock on June 7, 1996, AIDA has reshaped the cruise industry, infusing it with a lighter, more liberated spirit. Now firmly established as a frontrunner in the German market, the company is preparing a milestone celebration unlike any before.
The year ahead sees a sequence of notable maritime events. In April 2026, AIDAdiva will host the “Best of AIDA” voyage, where the roster of entertainment promises to be diverse and lively, ranging from music and comedy to drag performances and more. Featured talents will include Otto Waalkes, Beatrice Egli, Stefanie Heinzmann, Mickie Krause, and others, pledging spirited experiences on deck.
On June 7, 2026, the Elbe in Hamburg will witness a reunion of sister ships—AIDAsol, AIDAperla, and AIDAprima—as they gather for a majestic parade along the river. The following day, AIDAprima will embark on a 4-night Festival Cruise (June 8–12), destined to deliver a succession of sea-bound revelries with multiple stages and surprise live acts throughout.
These curated voyages are part of AIDA’s broader celebration leading up to its thirtieth voyage around the sun.
