Carnival Valor has resumed service following a thorough drydock refit and refurbishment, emerging with significant improvements aimed at enhancing comfort and introducing fresh onboard offerings.
The vessel welcomed its first guests in Barcelona (Spain) before commencing a westbound Transatlantic Carnival Journeys/relocation voyage to New Orleans (Port NOLA Louisiana).
Among the ship’s most notable additions is a WaterWorks aqua park atop the decks, complete with twin slides and splash zones—an amenity now found on twenty‑four vessels within the Carnival fleet. Also new aboard Deck 5 is the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, a space dedicated to active‑duty service members and veterans; this marks the sixteenth ship in the line to feature this homage.
Efforts to improve accessibility have extended throughout public areas, where pathways were widened and facilities modernized. Accommodations also received attention: staterooms now offer additional USB charging outlets and upgraded lighting. The onboard casino has been expanded and refreshed to feature new gaming options and an improved layout.
Health and wellness facilities have been rebranded under the Cloud 9 Spa umbrella, combining the spa and gym into a revitalized environment. On Deck 3, a Dream Studio has been installed for personalized photo shoots, while a fresh Carnival Adventures desk on Deck 5 supports excursion bookings.
Younger passengers will encounter refreshed spaces tailored to various age groups. Camp Ocean now boasts a fleet‑first LED feature wall offering interactive programming and multiplayer gaming. Meanwhile, Circle “C” and Club 02 have been updated with new gaming and karaoke features to engage older children and teens.
Throughout the ship, new carpeting and general refurbishments impart a modern ambience that underscores Carnival’s dedication to continual improvement.
Following the Transatlantic crossing, Carnival Valor will resume its regular year‑round homeporting in New Orleans, operating 4‑ and 5‑day Western Caribbean roundtrips to Mexico's Cozumel and Progreso.
