HX Expeditions rolls out largest-ever agent incentive to celebrate 130 years

   July 9, 2025 ,   Cruise Industry

In honour of 130 years at the forefront of polar exploration, HX Expeditions has launched its most ambitious global incentive yet for travel advisors. Under the “Sell 3 – Sail for Free” programme, agents who secure three new, deposited FIT bookings on qualifying HX voyages between July 1 and October 31, 2025 will earn a complimentary cabin for two on a 2026 expedition of their choice. A total of 130 prize spots—comprising 65 cabins for two adults—will be awarded on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

This campaign marks a clear expression of gratitude toward the global trade community. HX has described the initiative as a means to reward advisors for their steadfast support over decades and to invite them to personally experience the expeditions they champion. Gebhard Rainer, CEO of HX, acknowledged that this is the most significant trade incentive the company has ever offered—one reflecting its 130‑year legacy of exploration and enduring partnerships in the travel industry.

Steve Smotrys, Managing Director and SVP of Commercial for the Americas, emphasised that the incentive is tailored to honour the strength of those relationships, and to ensure travel advisors themselves encounter the product they passionately recommend.

Agents wishing to participate must deposit three new FIT bookings for expeditions departing in 2025, 2026 or 2027 by 31 October 2025, and submit their entries via the official B2B portal. Entry must be made by November 7, 2025, with a single prize allowed per person. Group, interline, and agent‑rate bookings are not eligible.

Upon validation, winners may select from a curated list of eligible voyages slated for 2026, each lasting 12 nights or less and excluding flights.

HX emphasises that these voyages provide immersive, sustainable expedition experiences supported by expert-led programming—hallmarks of the company’s polar portfolio.

This incentive complements a wider series of anniversary initiatives, including limited-time suite upgrades, science lectures, celebratory badges, cocktails and special expedition offerings, all crafted to mark the company’s 130th year since its inaugural voyage aboard the MS Lofoten between Hammerfest and Spitsbergen in 1896.
