MSC's Explora Journeys has published its 2027-2028 Journeys Collection. The itinerary program spans 5 continents and groups ~100 voyages.
The Collection will traverse 59 countries and nearly 200 destinations between September 2027 and May 2028.
For the first time, the brand will mount its Journeys through Asia. The ship EXPLORA III will sail 28 immersive voyages visiting 47 distinct ports across Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. All Asian calls are maiden visits in many cases, with overnight stays scheduled in cities including Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Naha (Japan), Ha Long Bay (Vietnam), Ho Chi Minh City, and Bali. Itineraries are aligned with seasonal highlights and cultural events such as Golden Week in Shanghai and the Chinese New Year period in early 2028.
The season will also see the launch of EXPLORA V, with her first voyages scheduled to begin in December 2027. She will commence in the Mediterranean during its quieter season—visiting 27 destinations across nine countries with maiden calls including Salerno on the Amalfi Coast—and overnight stays in Istanbul among her highlights. Subsequently, she will deploy eastward, joining EXPLORA I for itineraries through the Red Sea and Arabian Peninsula, covering destinations such as Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain.
At the same time, EXPLORA II and EXPLORA IV will operate in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America during the same season, including a maiden port of call to Port Antonio, Jamaica, along with options to explore settled and remote locales like Jost Van Dyke (British Virgin Islands) and Terre-de-Haut (Guadeloupe). Journeys into the Amazon are included, with overnight stays in Manaus and visits to river communities including Boca da Valeria and Santarém.
Explora Journeys positions this season as part of the company’s evolving strategy to offer deeper regional immersion, extended overnight stays, and a slower tempo of exploration.
