Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises have announced the fleetwide introduction of PressReader, a digital platform that provides guests with access to thousands of newspapers, magazines, and eBooks from around the world directly on their personal devices.

The service first launched aboard Oceania Allura and Seven Seas Navigator, with the remaining 14 vessels across both brands scheduled to adopt the technology by November. The initiative will gradually replace printed newspapers at sea, reflecting both cruise lines’ commitment to enhancing guest convenience while advancing their shared Sail & Sustain environmental goals.

Company executives noted that the integration of PressReader was designed to provide travelers with a simple and sustainable way to stay informed or unwind with entertainment while exploring the world in luxury. The collaboration also supports PressReader’s founding vision of connecting people to meaningful content wherever they travel.

Guests will be able to connect through each ship’s Starlink internet service to browse an extensive library that includes major international titles such as The New York Times and The Economist, alongside regional publications and lifestyle journals in multiple languages. The platform allows for offline reading, with passengers able to download material for use during shore excursions or return flights.

Access to PressReader is complimentary for all guests, regardless of suite category or loyalty status. The interface also enables both Oceania and Regent Seven Seas Cruises to distribute proprietary digital content, such as onboard magazines and brochures.

With coverage spanning more than 120 countries and 60 languages, PressReader represents a significant step in the evolution of guest communications at sea—offering a seamless, modern alternative to traditional print media while aligning with the sustainability objectives of both luxury cruise brands.
