Margaritaville at Sea enhances fleet amenities and dining

Margaritaville at Sea has expanded its onboard offerings fleetwide, introducing new amenities and dining formats on its two vessels, MAS Islander and MAS Paradise.

The updates are part of the company’s ongoing effort to broaden onboard experiences for passengers on short- and mid-length cruises in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.

On MAS Islander, the traditional configuration for tattoo services previously located within a spa area has been replaced by a dedicated, permanent tattoo studio known as Permanent Reminder. Bookings for the studio are managed onboard, with pricing reportedly starting around US$75, and some travellers have been able to apply pre-purchased spa credits toward tattoo appointments. Passengers may choose from a selection of pre-designed artworks reflecting the line’s thematic motifs or request bespoke designs, placing Margaritaville at Sea among contemporary operators offering tattoo facilities as part of diversified leisure and lifestyle amenities at sea.

MAS Islander currently operates year-round from Port Tampa Bay, serving 4- to 10-night voyages that call at Florida and Caribbean destinations such as Key West, Cozumel, Progreso and Cayman Islands ports. The vessel, originally constructed for a European cruise operator in the late 1990s, was acquired in 2023 and subsequently underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in European shipyards before re-entering service under the Margaritaville at Sea brand.

On MAS Paradise, scheduled drydock work in January 2026 will remove the existing buffet on Deck 10 and replace it with a new market-style dining venue composed of individual stations offering freshly prepared dishes. Renderings released by the line show influences from other branded food concepts found across Margaritaville properties, with culinary elements aligned with outlets such as Frank & Lola’s Pizzeria, Slide at Paradise Desserts and Mexican Cutie Cantina.

MAS Paradise currently sails from Palm Beach on year-round two- to four-night cruises to ports including Freeport, Nassau and Key West and has received multiple upgrades since entering service for the brand, including craft spirits bars and refreshed poolside venues.

Beyond these fleetwide amenity enhancements, Margaritaville at Sea is actively expanding its roster. A third vessel, MAS Beachcomber (currently Costa Fortuna) is being refitted for entry into service in early 2027, with year-round homeporting in Miami. MAS Beachcomber will be the fleet's largest and will broaden deployment into Eastern and Southern Caribbean itineraries from a major cruise gateway, reflecting the brand’s growth trajectory since its launch in 2022.

Collectively, these developments signal Margaritaville’s continued adaptation of shipboard spaces and services to meet evolving passenger expectations while scaling its presence in the North American cruise market.
