A-ROSA River Cruises is preparing to mark the 25th anniversary of its river cruise operations during the 2027 season, introducing a series of itinerary additions and product adjustments across its European network.

The anniversary programme will include 20 new itineraries on the Rhine and Danube rivers, the introduction of two additional ports of departure, and the first southbound sailings for the company’s flagship vessel, A-ROSA SENA. The company is also planning updates to its onboard product, including further development of its all-inclusive fare structure.

Two new embarkation ports will be added to the programme. On the Rhine, A-ROSA AQUA and A-ROSA SENA are scheduled to primarily embark passengers in Duisburg from 2027. From this base the vessels will mainly operate northbound routes, allowing for longer port stays in cities in the Netherlands and Belgium while reducing overall travel distances for passengers. The schedule will also enable guests to visit the International Garden Exhibition 2027, which is set to take place across the Ruhr region between April and October 2027.

On the Danube, A-ROSA FLORA will be repositioned to Vienna as its main departure port. From there the vessel will operate 5- and 7-night itineraries focusing on major Danube capitals, as well as extended voyages of up to 16 nights continuing downstream toward the river’s cataracts and delta. The company indicated that basing the ship in Vienna would shorten sailing distances and broaden the appeal of the programme for international travellers.

The 2027 season will also mark the first time A-ROSA SENA operates southbound Rhine itineraries. Departing from Duisburg, the vessel will call at destinations including Cologne, Bonn, Koblenz, Rüdesheim am Rhein and Mainz. Two new itineraries, titled Middle Rhine Valley, Vines & Lorelei and Rhine City Break in Winter, will highlight the Middle Rhine region and include extended port stays, in some cases overnight, at destinations not previously visited by the ship.

Additional route developments are planned for other vessels in the fleet. A-ROSA CLEA is scheduled to introduce Moselle itineraries from Cologne alongside a new 3-night cruise branded as the Rhineland Mini Cruise. The vessel will also join A-ROSA SILVA in operating a new 7-night itinerary focusing on towns known for traditional timber-framed architecture and regional cuisine.

On the Danube, A-ROSA DONNA will adjust the departure day of its 7-night Danube Classics itinerary to Saturdays, a move intended to facilitate international travel connections for passengers.

The company also plans to update its fare structure beginning with the 2027 season. The existing Premium fare will be renamed A-ROSA Premium All Inclusive, with a stronger focus on onboard dining and entertainment experiences. Enhancements will include themed buffet evenings, regional late-night snacks and additional culinary events such as a Wine & Dine experience combined with a meet-and-greet with ship officers.

Passengers will continue to have the option of upgrading to the Drinks Package Plus, which includes a broader selection of beverages such as cocktails, spirits, long drinks and specialty coffees. The package will be offered at a promotional early booking rate until late November 2026.

Bookings for the highlight cruises of the 2027 season opened in March 2026 through travel agencies, online platforms and the company’s service centre, with limited promotional fares available for a defined booking period.
