MS Albatros Breaks Down

   September 29, 2016 ,   Accidents

German newspapers reported that the ms Albatros cruise ship, marketed by German travel company Phoenix Reisen, has broken down this week.

The vessel suffered mechanical problems that delayed her departure to Dover UK from the Columbus Cruise Center in Bremerhaven (CCCB).

Albatros was originally scheduled to sail out of Bremerhaven with 800 cruise passengers on Tuesday evening, September 27, but problems with rudder's hydraulic system delayed her departure. Later the problem was repaired and ms Albatros departed 11 hours late Wednesday morning, September 28.

The same problem reappeared when the ship was 25 km from the port of Bremerhaven. A pair of tugs towed the vessel back to port for additional repairs.
