In the continuing expansion of Caribbean operations, MSC Cruises has released its full schedule for the summer 2028 season, setting out a deployment of 6 vessels and 4 principal homeports across the region.

The program introduces a further stage in MSC's Atlantic positioning, including the first summer assignment of the new MSC World Atlantic from Port Canaveral, extending its previously established winter service.

The seasonal arrangement places two units of the company’s World Class series, MSC World America and MSC World Atlantic, on alternating 7-night circuits through the Eastern and Western Caribbean, sailing respectively from Miami and Port Canaveral. These itineraries are supplemented by shorter 3- and 4-night rotations to the Bahamas, with selected voyages incorporating extended calls at the company’s private facility at Ocean Cay, a regular feature of its Caribbean routing.

Further diversification within the program is indicated by the introduction of calls at a newly designated private destination, Sandy Cay, situated in proximity to Ocean Cay and intended to broaden shore-side capacity and experience within the Bahamian sector.

Additional sailings are arranged from Galveston, where vessels are assigned to 7-night Western Caribbean itineraries, while a year-round operation based at La Romana in the Dominican Republic continues with MSC Opera. This deployment includes calls at Catalina Island, where enhancements to port facilities are anticipated as part of ongoing development.

MSC representatives have indicated that the structure of the 2028 program reflects a continued effort to refine the balance between European operational standards and the expectations of the North American market.

The schedule is presented as an example of expanding itinerary variety and deployment flexibility, offering passengers a wider range of routes and durations across the Caribbean basin.
