Crystal has confirmed that Crystal Serenity will enter a scheduled 3-week drydock in October 2026, during which selected accommodation categories, public areas, and technical systems will be upgraded as part of an ongoing vessel enhancement programme.

The works will focus on the Aquamarine Classic Suite category on Deck 10, where the living spaces and bathrooms are to be fully refitted. The existing layout will be retained, including the separate bathtub and shower configuration, while interiors will be updated with new furnishings consistent with the design language introduced during the vessel’s 2023 refurbishment. Corridor areas on the same deck will also receive new carpeting and wall coverings.

A series of public spaces will also be modified to adjust circulation and onboard functionality. A new pool bar will be installed on Deck 12 adjacent to the Seahorse Pool, intended to streamline beverage service within the outdoor leisure area. The Atrium and Crystal Cove will be reconfigured with additional seating and updated finishes, including a marble dance floor, a new entertainment stage, and decorative mosaic work, alongside a redesigned reception area. Dining and social venues including Waterside Restaurant, Stardust Club, the Seahorse Pool area, and the Marketplace will receive targeted refurbishments such as reupholstered seating, updated furnishings, and refreshed service stations.

Alongside guest-facing modifications, the vessel will undergo a series of technical works aimed at maintaining operational performance and efficiency. These include maintenance along the propulsion line, a full overhaul of fin stabilisers, hull cleaning and repainting, and updates to electrical, automation, and entertainment systems. The programme is also intended to support reduced consumption and improved environmental performance through more efficient onboard systems.

Bernie Leypold, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations for Crystal, indicated that the refurbishment programme follows the earlier work undertaken on Crystal Symphony and is directed primarily at maintaining consistency in guest experience standards across the fleet. He stated that the enhancements are intended to ensure the vessel continues to operate as a refined and comfortable platform for future itineraries.

Crystal Serenity is expected to return to service in early November 2026, commencing a transatlantic voyage from Lisbon to Fort Lauderdale, after which it will proceed into its scheduled Caribbean deployment.
