VIVA Cruises has launched its 2027 programme, marking the earliest and most comprehensive annual deployment in the company's history. The new season introduces additional destinations, an extended operating schedule, and the expansion of the company's new premium VIVA Boutique product line with the debut of VIVA UNIQUE, which will be christened in Venice before joining VIVA BEYOND.
As one of the few European river cruise operators offering year-round sailings, VIVA Cruises will begin its 2027 season in January with VIVA ONE, VIVA TWO, VIVA ENJOY, and VIVA BEYOND. VIVA TIARA and VIVA RUBY will enter service in February, followed by VIVA MOMENTS and PORTO MIRANTE in March. The fleet will be completed in May with the introduction of VIVA UNIQUE.
The 2027 programme includes several new itineraries, among them Basel–Brussels, Dresden–Prague, and Amsterdam–Nuremberg. VIVA Cruises has also increased departures on its Amsterdam–Budapest route to provide greater flexibility for guests. On Portugal's Douro River, PORTO MIRANTE will operate a full season with 32 departures after becoming a permanent member of the VIVA Cruises fleet. In addition, the company will introduce 3-night "City Stay" cruises in Paris and Venice.
To support early bookings, VIVA Cruises will offer onboard credit for reservations made between October 15th and November 15th, 2025. Guests booking cruises of 3 to 6 nights will receive onboard credit of US$25 per person, while bookings for voyages of seven nights or longer will qualify for US$50 per person. The credit may be used for onboard services, including excursions, spa treatments, laundry, and purchases from the ship's boutique.
Andrea Kruse, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of VIVA Cruises, stated that the early release of the 2027 programme reflects the company's continued focus on innovation, guest satisfaction, and cooperation with its travel partners. She indicated that the earlier launch was intended to provide guests across international markets with greater flexibility and more time to plan their river cruise holidays.
VIVA's fleet for the 2027 season will comprise the boats TIARA, MOMENTS, ONE, TWO, ENJOY, RUBY, BEYOND, UNIQUE, and PORTO MIRANTE. Fleet deployment will cover Europe's principal inland waterways, including the Rhine, Main, Moselle, Danube, Elbe, Spree, Douro, Po River, Seine, the Venetian Lagoon, and selected canals, tributaries, and Baltic Sea routes. VIVA RUBY, the smallest vessel in the fleet with accommodation for 80 guests, will operate on a combination of rivers, canals, and coastal waterways.
The VIVA Boutique collection will offer a more exclusive river cruise experience aboard smaller vessels with a higher proportion of suites, reduced passenger capacity, and an enhanced culinary programme. Under this concept, VIVA BEYOND will operate on the Seine, while VIVA UNIQUE will sail on the Po River and through the Venetian Lagoon.
