Silversea has reorganized its 17 suite types into 4 categories—Oceanview, Veranda, Residence and Villa—as part of an update to its accommodation programme. The new structure retains the brand’s existing suite inclusions while introducing additional benefits for guests staying in Residence and Villa categories.
The changes apply to sailings departing on or after January 1st, 2027, with bookings under the new categories opening on September 16th, 2026.
Across Silversea’s all-suite fleet, the Oceanview category comprises Panorama and Vista suites, which feature large windows and ocean views. The Veranda category includes Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda and Veranda suites, each with a private balcony.
The Residence category covers Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion and Medallion suites, which provide separate bedroom and living areas. The Villa category includes Otium, Master, Owner’s, Grand and Royal suites, representing the line’s largest accommodation options with spacious living areas and extensive terraces.
All 4 categories continue to include Silversea’s established suite benefits, including butler service, 24-hour in-suite dining, Wi-Fi, multiple dining options, beverages, port fees, taxes and gratuities.
For Residence guests, the changes introduce priority embarkation on Classic Voyages and earlier access to reservations. Spa appointments can be booked up to 210 days before departure, while dining reservations become available 150 days before sailing.
Villa guests will receive all Residence category benefits along with additional services and experiences. On Classic Voyages, the package includes a private transfer for guests who book their airfare through Silversea, priority embarkation, early suite access and a welcome escort.
Villa guests will also have access to individual consultations with the ship’s chef, head sommelier and spa manager to assist with dining preferences, wine selections and wellness planning.
Additional Villa-category experiences will include chef-selected in-suite dining, afternoon tea served in the suite, a stargazing experience with Champagne and caviar, in-suite cocktail celebrations for hosted guests, and cigar-and-whiskey pairings.
In-suite wellness amenities will include a Technogym exercise bag containing a yoga mat, resistance bands and a roller in every Villa category suite.
Villa guests will also receive priority access to Destination Experts for planning flights, hotels, shore excursions, Land Programs and City Stays by Silversea. On selected Classic Voyages, the category will additionally provide extended access to onboard dining, beverages and public spaces on the final day at designated debarkation ports, with luggage storage and Wi-Fi remaining available until the ship’s next departure.
For Expedition Voyages, Villa guests will have access to additional expedition-related benefits, including Flexible Zodiac Departure, allowing them to join their preferred Zodiac group, and priority access to a kayaking session. They will also be able to participate in behind-the-scenes experiences focused on expedition operations with onboard specialists.
Silversea President Bert Hernandez said the revised categories were intended to build on the line’s established emphasis on intimate ships and personalized service. He cited earlier access to spa and dining reservations and consultations with senior culinary and beverage personnel as examples of how the new structure would expand the service provided to guests.
The enhanced benefits will be available across Silversea’s Classic and Expedition fleets for eligible sailings departing from January 1st, 2027.
