Princess Cruises has announced its 2028–2029 Americas cruise programme, featuring 250+ departures across North, Central and South America, the Caribbean, the Pacific and Antarctica. The schedule includes itineraries ranging from 4-day coastal cruises to a new 64-day circumnavigation of South America, alongside the return of Amazon River cruising.
The programme covers destinations including Canada and New England, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, the California coast and South America. Key additions include a call at Îles de la Madeleine in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, roundtrip Hawaii sailings from Vancouver and a return to the Amazon River for the first time since 2014. The Amazon itineraries will include scenic cruising and a port call at Santarém, Brazil.
Jim Berra, Chief Commercial Officer of Princess Cruises, said the programme had been developed to provide a broad range of itineraries across the Americas, from Caribbean holidays and Pacific Coast voyages to Panama Canal transits and longer expeditions to the Amazon and Antarctica.
Caribbean and Panama Canal
The Caribbean programme comprises 141 departures across 49 itineraries lasting between 5 and 17 days. Cruises will operate from 5 gateways: Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, San Juan, New York and Barbados. The itineraries will visit 24 destinations across 20 Caribbean islands, including St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Cozumel, the ABC Islands and Puerto Rico.
Selected itineraries will include extended stays in Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire and Curaçao. The programme also features calls at Celebration Key in the Bahamas, Isla Tropicale in Roatán, Honduras, and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas.
The Panama Canal programme will comprise 12 departures across 9 itineraries lasting 16 to 20 days. Five ships are scheduled to operate the voyages: Coral Princess, Crown Princess, Island Princess, Ruby Princess and Star Princess. The itineraries will include full canal transits connecting the Atlantic and Pacific, using both the historic locks and the newer Neopanamax locks, alongside calls in Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
Canada and New England, Hawaii and Mexico
Princess Cruises will offer 17 departures to Canada and New England aboard Regal Princess and Caribbean Princess. Five itineraries, ranging from 7 to 14 days, will cover New England, Atlantic Canada and the St. Lawrence River. The 2028 season will introduce Îles de la Madeleine, known for its red sandstone cliffs and Acadian cultural heritage. Seven classic itineraries will also include an overnight stay in Quebec.
The Hawaii programme will feature 14 departures visiting Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island. Each voyage will include an extended late-night stay in Honolulu. Roundtrip cruises will operate from Los Angeles and San Francisco, while Vancouver will return as a departure port for the 2028–2029 season.
For Mexico, the company has scheduled 35 departures from Los Angeles and San Francisco, with itineraries lasting 7 to 11 days. Destinations will include Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo and La Paz. All 10-day Baja Peninsula and Sea of Cortez sailings will feature an overnight stay in Cabo San Lucas.
The California Coast programme will include 18 departures lasting 4 to 7 days. Cruises will operate from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver, with late-night calls in San Diego, San Francisco and Victoria. The schedule also provides 50+ opportunities during the season to sail beneath the Golden Gate Bridge.
South America and Antarctica
The South America programme will comprise 13 departures across 11 itineraries, visiting 38 destinations in 16 countries. Majestic Princess and Coral Princess will operate the cruises, which include 17-day Antarctica and Patagonia voyages and 15-day Cape Horn and Glaciers of Patagonia itineraries.
A major addition will be a 64-day Circle South America voyage aboard Coral Princess. The itinerary will combine Antarctica, Amazon River cruising and a transit of the historic Panama Canal locks, bringing several of the region’s principal cruise destinations together in a single extended voyage.
The return of Amazon River cruising will include scenic navigation along the river and a call at Santarém, Brazil, expanding the company’s South American offering beyond its established coastal and Antarctic itineraries.
Extended Port Stays and Land Tours
The programme will also feature Princess Cruises’ More Ashore offering, with selected late-night and overnight port calls intended to provide additional time at destinations. These include Quebec, Cabo San Lucas and Honolulu, as well as destinations such as Aruba, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and Lima.
Passengers travelling in South America will also have the option of extending their trips through Princess Cruisetours. These land-based extensions will include Peru’s Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, as well as Iguazú Falls, with visits to both the Brazilian and Argentine sides.
