Seatrium Limited has renewed its multi-year agreement with Carnival Corporation, extending a strategic partnership established in 2010. The agreement reinforces Seatrium’s role in cruise ship maintenance, upgrades, refurbishment and retrofit projects.

Under the renewed Favoured Customer Contract (FCC), Carnival Corporation is expected to send a number of vessels to Seatrium’s facilities in the coming years for statutory inspections, maintenance and upgrade works. The agreement covers ships operated by the group’s 8 cruise brands: AIDA Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises and Seabourn.

Seatrium is scheduled to carry out work on three Carnival Corporation vessels in the fourth quarter of 2026. Royal Princess and Carnival Luminosa are due to arrive in October, followed by Seabourn Encore in November. Further vessels from the corporation’s fleet are expected to undergo work at Seatrium’s shipyards between 2027 and 2029.

The FCC framework provides strategic partners with greater certainty regarding repair and maintenance slots, while allowing Seatrium to plan capacity and anticipate future demand. The company currently has 22 FCC partners across several maritime sectors, including cruise shipping, liquefied natural gas carriers, offshore vessels, naval vessels and powerships.

Carnival Corporation’s Vice President of Strategic Sourcing and Machinery Lifecycle Management, Vera Lannek, noted that Seatrium had consistently demonstrated technical expertise, reliable project execution and a commitment to quality and safety. She added that the continued partnership would support the maintenance and enhancement of the corporation’s global fleet, with an emphasis on operational standards and efficient project delivery across its brands.

Seatrium is a major provider of cruise vessel repair and upgrade services in Asia. The company stated that its work also supports Singapore’s position as an international cruise hub. Since 1978, Seatrium has serviced more than 442 cruise vessels.
