Work Started on Third Vista Class Ship

The steel cutting ceremony of the 3rd “Vista” class cruise ship (Panorama), that Fincantieri is building for Carnival Cruise Line, took place today, July 7, at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera. The newbuild will be delivered in autumn 2019.

The new ship will be a sister of Carnival Vista, delivered in Monfalcone in April last year, as well as of Carnival Horizon, currently under construction in Marghera, scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2018.

133,500 GT and 323 m long are the Vista class figures, including the largest ships which Fincantieri has ever constructed for the fleet of Carnival Cruise Line. The newest one will have 1,987 passenger staterooms added up to the 761 crew, being able to accommodate over 6,500 people onboard.

The Vista class units are a new technological benchmark in terms of cutting-edge layout, high quality technical solutions and performance.
