Celebrity Eclipse will make her final cruise from Southampton on Wednesday, October 18. After 8 years based in Southampton the ship will leave the port for the last time.
This doesn't mean an end to the presence of Celebrity in Southampton as Celebrity Silhouette will homeport in the port city from next summer. The ship will be offering a mix of sailings to Russia and Scandinavia, the Norwegian fjords, Mediterranean, Canaries, Azores, Ireland and Iceland.
In recent years Celebrity Silhouette has sailed in the Caribbean during winter months, sailing from Fort Lauderdale, and during summer switched to the Atlantic's eastern side where she offers Baltic voyages out of Amsterdam, and Mediterranean cruises out of Civitavecchia-Rome.
Celebrity Eclipse is off to port of Dublin making Celebrity the world's first major cruise line to base a ship in the capital of Ireland.
From late June 2018, the Eclipse will be based from Amsterdam, with cruises around the British Isles, Russia and Scandinavia. In September, she will be cruising in the Mediterranean from Barcelona.
