VIDEO: Cruise Ferry Catches Fire in Java Sea

Dharma Kencana II ferry with 114 passengers and about 40 vehicles onboard caught fire Sunday morning, October 29, in the middle of Java Sea, while en route from Central Java (Samarang) to western Kalimantan (Pontianak).

Passengers abandoned the ferry, going to life rafts. At least nine commercial ships, SAR and patrol vessels were sent to the burning ferry.

No casualties were reported. All passengers were rescued, crew also abandoned the ferry after fire spread to the upper deck.
