The UK’s 3rd largest cruise line, Marella Cruises, appointed CCS (COLUMBIA Cruise Services) the technical management contract for line's newest and biggest ship Marella Explorer and its next vessel, currently operating as Mein Schiff 2.
From 2019, COLUMBIA Cruise Services will manage all of Marella 6-ship fleet. Mein Schiff 2 and Marella Explorer, will both undergo a refit on all 13 decks, 10 restaurants and 962 cabins.
According to CCS Fleet Manager Andre Bloemendaal, the takeover process for Marella Explorer had already started. A task force for the project kick-off had been initiated and would join future Marella Explorer for familiarisation with the ship and its specifics.
