Carnival Victory Changes Itinerary Due to Technical Issues

   October 25, 2018 ,   Accidents

Carnival Victory was forced to arrive to PortMiami Monday afternoon, October 22. The scheduled 5-night cruise to Key West (October 23) and Cozumel (October 24) was modified due to propulsion issues impacting the maximum cruising speed of the ship.

A letter from Victory’s Capt. Donato informed passengers that the vessel would have to sail to Nassau and the private island of Princess Cays. All the shore excursions booked in Cozumel and Key West were refunded and Carnival Cruise Line gave guests US$50 onboard credit for the inconvenience.

Travellers had a choice to receive full refund in case they wanted to opt out of the voyage. Technicians tried to get the engines back to full speed.

Carnival spokesman said that repairs were being made during the current cruise and they were "planning for the scheduled itinerary for upcoming voyages."
