Bermuda Expects More Than 540K Cruise Passengers in 2019

Bermuda’s Ministry of Tourism and Transport anticipates a busy year among cruise liners in 2019.

They are estimating that they will receive extra 68,000 cruise passengers with 192 visits to Bermuda, which is due to bring a total of 544,000 travelers. This is a 14% increase from the number of cruise passengers who visited Bermuda in 2018.

With the increase in cruise passengers, Bermuda is expecting around US$7.9 million in visitor spending and tax revenue.

Bermuda Tourism Authority is currently focusing on increasing the number of cruise ships during the cooler months.

Adventure of the Seas, Norwegian Peal, Norwegian Jade, Celebrity Edge, and Spirit of Discovery will have their inaugural visits to the island in 2019. Disney Magic will also be returning for 5 calls between September 27-October 25, 2019.
