Carnival Cruise Line confirmed details about its latest private destination that is currently being developed. John Heald, Carnival Brand Ambassador, dubbed it “Half Moon Cay-plus.”

During a question-and-answer session hosted by Heald onboard his latest FFS Cruise, Carnival Brand Ambassador confirmed that Carnival Corporation was developing its new Caribbean port destination “about 20 miles to the east of Freeport.”

Probably aware of the fact Nassau recently raised concerns about cruise company-owned private destinations impacting Bahamas' tourism income, Heald said there was nothing like Freeport but it was going to be "a beauty with docking facilities, no tenders, just for Carnival.”

Details on the completion date have not been unveiled, but Heald promised that they would be forthcoming.
