2019 cruise season begins on April 16 with the arrival of Celebrity Eclipse, the first of over 260 ship visits scheduled to visit Victoria BC in 2019.

The season includes a series of inaugural calls for the port city, including the arrival of Ovation of the Seas, Queen Elizabeth, Norwegian Joy, and Azamara Quest. This year is also expected to see an increase in full-day, mid-week calls. Victoria will also welcome the 8th millionth cruise passenger in May 2019.

The cruise terminal is expected to receive 700,000 passengers and around 300,000 crew to Victoria during the 7-month season. The final ship to visit Victoria BC will be Grand Princess on October 25, 2019.

This winter, the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority continued a multi-year capital improvement project on 3 deep-water berths. From November 2018 through March 2019, the organization completed the construction of 2 additional information kiosks for volunteer greeters; installation of 5 new 200-tonne bollards used to tie up ship lines; an updated and enlarged facility for crew, that is sponsored and run by Lighthouse Ministries; the installation of seagull deterrent netting on the warehouse roof.
