Silversea Announces New Winter 2020-2021 Itineraries

Silversea announced a total of 54 new 2020-2021 winter cruises and opened an exclusive pre-sale for Venetian Society members. The voyages feature an increased number of unique ports of call for the winter season and twenty maiden calls.

Comprising the itineraries of Silver Muse, Silver Shadow, Silver SpiritSilver Whisper, and Silver Moon (sistership to Silver Muse, scheduled to join the fleet in August 2020) the collection of itineraries will showcase the beauty of the Caribbean, Asia's springtime, as well as the best of Australia and South America on circumnavigations, among other experiences.

Silversea's passengers will be able to enjoy complimentary economy class flights, as well as business class upgrades starting from US$199 per leg, and transfers on all voyages in the new collection.

A total of 26 voyages aboard Silver Moon, Silver Shadow, and Silver Whisper will enable travellers to form connections with 46 Caribbean destinations. In addition to immersive journeys into St. Lucia's rainforests, opportunities to explore St. Barth and the Spanish-tiled courtyards of San Juan, guests will discover lesser-visited ports, including Bequia, Jost Van Dyke, Mayreau. They will also have the chance to travel deeper into the spectacular landscapes and culture of Cuba. Many Caribbean cruises will depart and/or culminate in Fort Lauderdale FL. A sample itinerary includes a 10-day cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Bridgetown aboard Silver Whisper departs Florida on November 10, 2020, and visits San Juan, Jost Van Dyke, St John’s, Fort-de-France, Mayreau, St George’s, Bequia. 

In Asia, Silver Spirit and Silver Muse will unlock 58 destinations in a total of 18 countries, with each ship completing 7 voyages between September 2020-May 2021. In addition to visits to the major ports of Mumbai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Shanghai, the new Asian highlights include overnights in various destinations in Vietnam and roundtrip cruises from Tokyo during the cherry blossom season. Among the new itineraries on offer in Asia is the sample 15-day itinerary roundtrip from Tokyo, completing a circumnavigation of the largest Japanese island, Honshu, aboard Silver Muse departing on April 5, 2021. Silversea’s guests will visit Shimizu, Kobe (on an overnight call), Hiroshima, Yeosu, Kanazawa, Niigata, Akita, Aomori, Hakodate.

Passengers will also be able to sail to a total of 49 destinations in 8 countries in and around Australia and New Zealand, from October 2020 through March 2021. By combining 3 cruises - from Sydney to Fremantle, Fremantle (Perth) to Bali, and Bali to Sydney - they will be able to complete a remarkable 50-day circumnavigation of Australia on Silver Muse. Iconic Australia and New Zealand destinations and a number of Pacific Islands will be showcased on Sydney-to-Auckland voyages between December 2020-February 2021. The collection includes the following 16-day sample itinerary from Sydney to Auckland between December 20, 2020-January 5, 2021 aboard Silver Muse, visiting Melbourne, Burnie, Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, and Dusky Sounds. Next come Dunedin, Akaroa, Kaikoura, Wellington, Gisborne, and Tauranga.

During her inaugural season in the region, Silversea's Moon will sail throughout Central and South America between January-April, 2021, enabling vacationers to discover 55 destinations in a total of 27 different countries. The line's pioneering new culinary concept, S.A.L.T., will enrich passengers’ experience aboard Silver Moon, through unique culinary delights. Aboard Silversea’s new flagship, guests will complete a circumnavigation of South America roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale over 69 days, when combining 4 voyages. The first segment is from Fort Lauderdale to Callao, departing on January 7, 2021, visiting Cozumel, Belize City, Roatan Island, Puerto Limon, San Blas Islands, and transitting the Panama Canal. Subsequent overnights in Panama City and Guayaquil precede a visit to Salaverry, before reaching Callao (Lima). The second cruise, a 22-day trip from Callao to Buenos Aires, enables guests to travel into the Chilean Fjords and Ushuaia, before setting sail for the capital of Argentina. Travellers on the 3rd voyage can explore destinations in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil ahead of arriving in Rio. Concluding the roundtrip circumnavigation, Silversea's Moon unlocks a variety of experiences for passengers in Brazil, French Guiana, Barbados, Grenada, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, French West Indies, and Puerto Rico, before reaching Fort Lauderdale FL on March 17, 2021.
