Virgin Voyages' Fans to Name New Craft Beer

Virgin Voyages revealed that its Scarlet Lady ship will boast its own craft beer, served in the taproom, the Draught Haus.

Situated on Deck 7, the bar will feature 8 draught beers along with a range of bottled artisanal beers, shot-cocktails, shots, and boilermakers. It will use a growler (jug) service, so passengers can take drinks around public spaces or back to the cabins.

According to Virgin Voyages, the Draught Haus will offer rustic detailing, an eclectic mix of furniture, and a beer tap display behind the bar. The company added that given its positioning, adjacent to the record shop Voyage Vinyl, the new venue will provide "the perfect chill-out space".

The signature craft beer has been created by Miami-based Wynwood Brewing Company, using American hops and malts but an English yeast, "tying back to Virgin’s British roots". It is finished with a touch of roasted malt that is giving the red tint of the beverage.
