Princess Cruises revealed details of a new VR (virtual reality) production show that is scheduled to appear on the newbuilds Enchanted Princess and Sky Princess.
The VR concept (named 5-SKIES) is due to transport guests into a gaming world via acrobatics, digital effects, costumes, and elaborate sets. The show follows Gamer 1 (the main character) who tries to complete a series of 5 increasingly difficult levels, meeting a variety of personalities along the way in an attempt to get to Sky Princess.
5-SKIES debuts on Sky Princess on November 15, 2019, as the ship cruises in the Caribbean. Then the liner will be repositioned to Northern Europe for roundtrips from homeport Copenhagen Denmark on Russia and Scandinavia itineraries. The sistership Enchanted Princess is scheduled for homeporting in Southampton UK in 2020 June.
