5 Royal Caribbean crew on Adventure of the Seas ship test Coronavirus-positive in Falmouth, Jamaica

RCI-Royal Caribbean's liner Adventures of the Seas docked at Falmouth Cruise Ship Pier (Trelawny, Jamaica) on Tuesday, May 19.

So far, 5 persons among the 1044 Jamaican crew who were repatriated this week via Adventure OTS have tested COVID-positive. All disembarked crew were tested and processed by immigration officials then quarantined at two Saint Ann Parish hotels. The five COVID-19 patients (4 men, 1 woman)  brought the total number of Jamaica's confirmed cases to 544.

Currently, there are 9 other cruise ships at sea repatriating Jamaica nationals. and an ongoing dialogue with 9 major cruise brands. RCI's parent company RCCL and Jamaica's Government are coordinating to deal with the requests.
