World’s largest square-rigged sailship chartered to Tradewind Voyages UK

The owner of Brodosplit Shipyard - the Croatian corporation DIV Group - announced that the largest square-rigged sailship in the world (hull number Brodosplit 483, ,initially named Flying Clipper) will be rebranded, renamed and chartered to the British company Tradewind Voyages UK Ltd.

Vessel's ownership remains with the wholly-owned subsidiary of DIV Group.

The vessel, built at an estimated cost of US$100 million, is said to be the not only the world's largest but also the world's most advanced sailing ship and has sat laid up at Brodosplit Shipyard (Split, Croatia) since her completion following a legal dispute with Star Clippers.
