In one of the largest cruise ship crew repatriations amid the health crisis, around 1500 crew from USA (Miami Florida) and European countries (including from Portugal, France, Italy) were disembarked at Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) berth on June 18.

The Celebrity Infinity ship initially anchored at Port Mumbai (India's Bombay State) on Friday, June 12, for a planned debarkation there. However, the port authority altered the plan and persuaded the ship operator Celebrity Cruises the vessel to come to India's Goa State instead. The passenger-free liner is currently docked at Mumbai Port.

Upon arrival, all crew were tested and remain quarantined onboard until the results were out. If the results turn back negative, the seafarers will be sent back home for a 7-day no paid quarantine. Coronavirus-positive crew will be transferred to a specialized COVID Hospital.
