Crystal Endeavor, the PC6-designated ship for Crystal Expedition Cruises is on schedule to debut in Summer 2021.

Originally scheduled to launch in August 2020, the vessel’s construction was delayed as the health crisis forced a shutdown of MV WERFTEN where Endeavor is currently under construction. The shipyard reopened fully this year.

Crystal Cruises canceled Crystal Endeavor sailings through May 1, 2021, and is now reviewing the ship’s summer itineraries. However, some of the upcoming destinations planned for the vessel include the Norwegian Fjords, the Scottish Isles, France, Portugal, Spain, the Atlantic Isles, Western Africa, Argentina, Brazil, and Antarctica.

Crystal’s parent company, Genting Hong Kong, recently completed a EUR 193 million loan agreement with the government of Germany for the completion of Crystal Endeavor and to support the shipyard's operations through March 2021.

In December 2020, Genting announced the termination of the sale and leaseback deal of the cruise ship with the aim to simplify the structure for a typical export credit agency covering post-delivery financing for Crystal Endeavor. This does not impact the planned operations.
