Balearia Caribbean announced it was planning to relaunch its Bahamas fast-ferry service on February 10, 2021.

The daily service (between Fort Lauderdale/Port Everglades Florida USA and Bimini Island Bahamas) is scheduled for Wednesdays-Fridays-Sundays departures (out of Port Everglades at 9 am) and return departures from Bimini Bahamas (at 6:30 pm).

Balearia Caribbean said it had undertaken a series of sanitation and safety protocols to ensure shipboard safety, including temperature scans for all passengers, easy access to sanitizer dispensers, universal masking.

Cruise ship's max passenger capacity has been reduced by 40%. Plexiglass dividers have been added in common areas and on every seat.

All passengers from Florida to the Bahamas have to show proof of a negative PCR COVID test no more than 5 days before arrival. They also have to apply for a Travel Health Visa.
