TUI River Cruises launches beer and wine themed sailings

Beer- and wine-themed river cruises are among the holidays scheduled by the UK's largest tour operator TUI.

TUI River Cruises (2021-inaugurated travel brand and subsidiary of TUI AG) is expected to operate a series of themed voyages with Rhine River itineraries lasting between 4 and 7 days.

The winter sailings aboard the 155-passenger riverboat TUI Maya include food and drinks, onboard events, shore excursions, guest speakers.

A 7-night "Wine on the Rhine" voyage departs from Frankfurt am Main Germany on October 31, 2021, and includes 6 ports in Germany (Rudesheim, Boppard, Koblenz, Speyer, Breisach, Mainz) plus Strasbourg France.

Passengers can choose from 9 wine-themed excursions, including a visit to a vineyard and winery which has produced bottles since 1846 as well as a half-day Obernai trip to try Alsatian wines.

A shorter 4-night version of the "Wine on the Rhine" itinerary is also available, departing on November 20, 2021, with 3 shore excursions offered to passengers.

The beer-themed voyage "Rhine and Stein" from Frankfurt cisits ports in Germany and Holland, and features beer tastings and brewery visits.

The 6-night "Dancing on the Rhine" cruise is also scheduled to set sail from Frankfurt on November 7, 2021, with calls in Germany (Rudesheim, Boppard, Cologne/Koln, Dusseldorf, Bonn, Koblenz). Dance lessons are included in the onboard entertainment programme.

TUI UK's winter 2021 programme also includes 6 Christmas and New Year cruises scheduled from late-October 2021 through January 2022.
