Cruise season starts in Hamburg, Germany with Hapag-Lloyd's ship HANSEATIC nature

   June 15, 2021 ,   Cruise Industry

Hamburg’s cruise ship season started, initiated by Hapag-Lloyd's ship Hanseatic Nature departing today from the Cruise Center Altona, being the first cruise of the season to sail out of Port Hamburg Germany.

In 2020, the Port was one of the first globally to manage a controlled restart in collaboration with the authorities and cruise companies. Guidelines for the resumption of the industry regulated the implementation of infection control concepts in the cruise terminals.

A total of 81 port calls took place from/to Hamburg Germany in the 2020 cruise season. None of the voyages taking place after the restart in June last year had experienced any incidents.

AIDA Cruises currently plans to sail from Hamburg from July.
