Virgin Voyages' first ship Scarlet Lady left Portsmouth England for NYC New York USA on Friday, September 3.

At around 7 PM London time, the largest vessel to ever arrive in the port city made its way from Portsmouth harbour, passing notable landmarks on its way. The 110,000-GT-ton ship could be heard blasting her horn to warn other boats of her approach.

The Virgin's cruiser arrived in Portsmouth on June 21 for a Summer Soiree season (cruises to nowhere) and spent over a month in the port, making 3-4-day long voyages along England's coast at a reduced capacity.

The luxury liner is now heading across the Atlantic towards the United States, where from homeport Miami will offer 4-5-day long roundtrips to several Caribbean ports visiting Bahamas, Dominicana, Mexico, as well as Key West Florida.
