DCL-Disney Cruise Line will require kids ages 5+ to be fully vaccinated against COVID for voyages starting in 2022.

The requirement is a continuation of the policy of the company that all vaccine-eligible guests be vaccinated.

On its website, Disney said that would be "a requirement for all Guests (U.S. and international) ages 5 and up for sailings beginning on or after January 13, 2022."

"Guests who are not vaccine-eligible because of age must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result."

Disney said it would accept vaccines approved by the CDC and WHO-World Health Organization, including Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Novavax, Sinopharm, and Sinovac.

The test (must be a NAAT test, lab-based PCR test/rapid PCR test) must be taken between 3 days and 24 hours before the sail date and will be paid for by the traveler.

Passengers ages 5-11 may opt in to the testing requirement instead of showing vaccination proof for cruises that depart before January 13, 2022.
