On the occasion of the 72nd edition of the most popular Italian song contest, the Sanremo  Festival, music arrives for the first time at the sea, due to the collaboration between Costa Cruises and Rai Pubblicita.

Costa Toscana, the fleet's newest boat, will be the floating stage for the live shows of 2 stars of the past editions of the Sanremo Festival: Orietta Berti and Fabio Rovazzi. They'll be joined by exceptional Italian artists, who are expected to perform every evening on the stage of one of the theaters.

Costa Toscana will be a regular presence at the Sanremo Festival not only on TV, on Rai Uno, but also on the radio. The program “Tre per due” of Rai Radio Due, with “Gemelli di Guidonia” singers, together with the “Stefano Signoroni & the MC” band, will be onboard for the entire duration of the Festival.

Berti and Rovazzi will be the stars of an entertaining web series, broadcasted on the social channels of Costa, which will recount their experience on Costa Toscana at the Sanremo Festival and will allow the audience to discover the newbuild.

Costa Toscana is anchored ~1 km from Port Sanremo, where the liner arrived on January 30 and will stay until February 6. Onboard, there will be no public presence, except for the people who will contribute to the events planned onboard, in addition to the crew. For this occasion, a health protocol has also been developed and shared with the health authorities.

Costa Toscana is the new Italian-flagged cruise ship in the Costa fleet. Built at the Meyer shipyard in Turku (Finland), the ship will leave for her first Mediterranean voyage on March 5, 2022, from Savona (Italy).
