Continue along Schlossstraße to Philippsburg, a Renaissance residence below Marksburg. Its courtyard and garden make a convenient turning point before returning toward the river. Allow 60–90 minutes at a relaxed pace.

Walk the Rhine Promenade

Visit Koblenz on a Longer Call

Koblenz is approximately 12 km (7.5 mi) from Braubach. Regional trains usually make the journey in around 15 minutes, but time must also be allowed for walking to the station, waiting and returning. This is realistic only during a longer call and after checking the day’s train schedule.

Passengers whose priority is the Deutsches Eck or central Koblenz can travel independently, but Marksburg and Koblenz should not normally be combined during a short stop. Allow a generous buffer for the return train.

6. Return through the historic center to the Rheinanlagen and ship.
