Buda Island (officially Nyaung Wee Island) is located south of Lampi Island. It is part of the Mid Group and is home to the small village Makyone Galet. The village is located on its east coast and boasts some fun hikes and exciting views across the nearby islands.

The village has most of the isle's population of around 500 inhabitants. This Burma island destination features a pristine beach, a scenic little house on stilts (in front of the beach) and traditional fishing boats (refilling freshwater there). Some of the local fishing families are happy to cook meals for visiting sailors and for cruise passengers too. The kids are also very excited to see foreign visitors.
