Craobh Haven is a resort and yacht marina port complex that was purposefully built. The area was developed in 1983 as a holiday resort break destination. Craobh Haven is located on the Craignish peninsula (western Scotland), approx 22 mi (35 km) south of Oban (between Arduaine and Kilmartin) and approx 17 mi (27 km) north of Lochgilphead.
The Craobh Haven resort features a large boat marina, a public house (named "The Lord of The Isles"), a store, harbourmaster and marina office. Houses and small cottages are available for rent. On the nearby Eilean Buidhe island there are watersports centre and holiday accommodations available.
This is a great UK vacation travel destination for smaller yachts only, as its marina doesn't have anchorage for larger vessels.
Craobh Haven cruise terminal
Occasionally, the Craobh Haven resort is also visited by smaller cruise ships with itineraries including the nearby Scotish isles. The ship anchors in open sea and disembarks its passengers via its own tender boats. Sightseeing bus trips are offered ashore.
