  Port Map

Kirinda is an Indian Ocean port located in Sri Lanka's Southern Province.

Port Kirinda allows access to Yala National Park (aka Ruhuna). Much of this reserve is parkland, but also contains beaches, jungle, scrubland, freshwater lakes and rivers. Yala Park has world's highest concentration of leopards. There are also wild boars, Asian elephants, water buffalos, grey langurs and crocodiles.

Ruhuna park also attracts birds of prey like white-bellied sea eagles. Wetlands have waders and painted storks, as well as the rare species of black-necked stork. Land birds are in abundance, including Indian peafowl, Sri Lanka junglefowl, Sirkeer Malkoha.
