  Port Map

Kuzino is a Volga RIver/Dvina River cruise port and village administratively assigned to Veliky Ustyug (Vologda Oblast, Russia). It is located on the right bank of Dvina River, at the confluence of the Sukhona and Yug rivers, and opposite to Veliky Ustyug.

Kuzino's population is around 1,200.

During the 1930s, the town grew up thanks to the construction of mechanical works. Then the nearby Yesiplevo village was merged into Kuzino, which in 1938 was granted the status of an urban-type settlement.

Kuzino's major industrial enterprise was the mechanical works that stopped operation and went bankrupt in the 2000s. Currently, the surviving buildings are used as a shipyard for boat repair and timber production. Most of the inhabitants are employed in Veliky Ustyug and daily commute there.

Kuzino is connected with Veliky Ustyug via passenger ferry. During winter, when the rivers freeze, trucks and cars cross the Dvina River over the ice. In spring and autumn, there is no crossing available to Veliky Ustyug as the ice sets up or melts. Sukhona, Yug, and Northern Dvina rivers are navigable, but there no passenger navigation exists except for ferry crossings.

An unpaved road links Kuzino with Luza (Kirov Oblast), continuing to Lalsk and further to Komi Republic.
