Tuam Island (aka Tuyam) is one of Papua New Guinea's Siassi Islands (Bismark Archipelago), part of PNG's Morobe province. Tuam is a privately owned island - it belongs to the owner of Doini Island.
Islanders are hospitable and welcome cruise ship tourists with traditional music and dance performances. Hand-made crafts can be also purchased, including decorated spondylus shells, balsa wood items, sago bark paintings and headdresses. Among the tourist activities offered on the island are snorkelling and scuba diving, as well as guided village tour .
Tuam Island is also accessible from mainland PNG (Madang and Port Moresby), from Kieta (Bougainville Island) and Rabaul (New Britain Island).
