Costa Concordia cabins review

Of all Costa Concordia cabins, 39% featured a private balcony. There were 28 wheelchair-accessible/handicap cabins and 154 connecting rooms. The ship's 8 passenger decks housed a total of 58 Suites, 521 Balcony, 317 Oceanview, 579 Inside, and 12 Single cabins. There were 16 cabin categories in total.

Below is a review of Costa Concordia’s staterooms, including amenities, furnishings, and complimentary services:

  • All Costa Concordia cabins featured a sleeping area (twin beds convertible to queen, bedside tables and lamps), a lounge/living area (seating, vanity, desk, closet with drawers), flat-screen TV (infotainment system, satellite reception), direct-dial phone, safe, hairdryer, private bathroom (toilet, shower cubicle), mini-bar/fridge, individual air conditioning, 24-hour complimentary room service, and complimentary in-room Continental breakfast. Most staterooms and suites were equipped with a sofa bed or Pullman/bunk beds for a third/fourth guest.
  • The largest accommodations were the Grand Suites (GS and SG-Spa categories), each featuring a private veranda (with loungers, chairs, and small table), a separate dressing room, a spacious bathroom (with whirlpool bathtub, shower, toilet/bidet, and double sink), and an expanded living area with a sectional double sofa bed. Additional suite perks included in-room dining service (sparkling wine, daily canapés, fresh fruit), VIP/priority services (check-in, embarkation/disembarkation, tendering, dining reservations, Captain’s cocktail party invitations), a pillow menu, cotton robes, slippers, butler service (packing/unpacking), upgraded bath products, and a complimentary specialty restaurant dinner for two.
  • Mini-Suites were located aft on upper decks 6 (Gran Bretagna), 7 (Irlanda), and 8 (Portogallo). All featured step-out verandas, except for SM-Spa Suites which had large windows. Mini-Suites did not include bathtubs in the bathrooms.
  • All Balcony cabins had sliding glass doors opening to a private veranda (furnished with one table and two patio chairs) and a lounge area with additional bedding (double sofa bed) for a third/fourth guest.
  • Oceanview cabins featured a large picture window (non-opening), while Inside cabins lacked windows. Both types offered additional bedding (Pullman beds) for extra guests.
  • The ship had 103 Spa-category cabins: 12 Spa Suites (each with a hot tub), 58 Spa Balcony, and 33 Spa Inside cabins. Most were located near the Samsara Spa complex. Guests in these cabins enjoyed exclusive and unlimited access to the spa (including the Thalassotherapy pool), complimentary spa treatments (two per cabin), and premium bath amenities.
  • There were 12 Single-occupancy cabins across two categories—IS-Inside and ES-Oceanview—designed for solo travelers (maximum capacity 1 guest), available at reduced single rates.

Costa Cruises’ Suite guests enjoyed a range of exclusive onboard amenities and services. Complimentary perks included:

  • an all-inclusive beverage package (unlimited drinks priced up to EUR 9, complimentary mini-bar, wine pairings in all restaurants)
  • meals at the Club Restaurant (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • priority seating in the Main Dining Room and priority reservations at specialty restaurants
  • complimentary room service and full in-cabin dining
  • welcome gifts (bottle of Ferrari sparkling wine, canapés)

  • suite-exclusive events (wine tastings, Spa Thermal Suite day passes, private cocktail parties, reserved front-row seats in the theater, and assistance from a dedicated shopping specialist)
  • priority embarkation (available at Mediterranean homeports only)
