Scenic Aria cabins review

All Scenic Aria staterooms (48 total) have a maximum capacity of 2 guests per cabin. Except for the lower (Jewel Deck 1) cabins (located at water level), all other staterooms (88%) are balcony cabins, advertised as “Suite” accommodations with “Sun Lounges” - a private (step-out) balcony designed for all-weather use.

The total number of cabin categories is 11.

The ship's staterooms are all in Suite categories - Royal Suite (category RP, size 39 m2/420 ft2), Riverview Suite (C1, size 17 m2/185 ft2), Junior Suite (categories BJ, RJ, size 23 m2/250 ft2), Balcony Suite (categories B, BB, C, P, PA, size 20 m2/215 ft2), and Standard Suite (window cabins, categories D, E, size 16 m2/170 ft2).

Below is a review of Scenic Aria staterooms, including furniture, price-included amenities, and complimentary services:

All staterooms have twin beds convertible to a Queen-size, luxury bedding sets, bedside tables with lamps, and an en-suite bathroom (ample cabinet space, WC, large sink, shower cubicle, lighted mirror, color lighting system, luxury bath products/shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner, body lotion). Cabins also include sliding-door closets (hangers, drawers, shelves), HDTV (linked to an Apple Mac mini computer with infotainment system, radio, and “View From the Bridge” real-time webcam views), desk, bookcase, digital safe box (in the closet), leather chair, mini-bar (restocked daily with complimentary snacks and drinks - soda, juice, sparkling water, liqueur), iPod station (clock), hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, umbrella, individual climate control, and 220V power outlets (European/Australian sockets only; American guests require adapters).

All staterooms on Jewel Deck feature fixed (non-opening) picture windows located high on the riverside wall. All other accommodations (on Deck 2 - Sapphire and Deck 3 - Diamond) feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening to a full-size balcony. The veranda is furnished with a round table and wicker chairs. These balconies are widely known as “Sun Lounges”. This is a glass-enclosed area (part of the cabin) located behind floor-to-ceiling opening windows. Behind the windows are shears and blackout curtains. The cabin's “sun lounge” area can easily transform into an outdoor veranda at the push of a button.

All balcony cabin bathrooms feature large glass-enclosed showers with doors.

The Diamond Deck Royal Suites (1-bedroom suites) are the largest staterooms on the riverboat. Their layouts feature a large lounge area with a sofa and a spacious bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub.

All Junior Suites bathrooms feature bathtubs and expanded vanity sink areas with mirrored cabinets.

You can see all furniture details at Scenic Aria's cabin plans in the above table.

Complimentary butler service is available to all passengers. It includes shoeshine service, shore excursion arrangements, spa reservations, and drinks service. Additional services available to passengers in all balcony cabin grades include morning coffee/tea service and cocktail party arrangements.

Additional perks for Diamond Deck passengers include room service breakfast and complimentary pressing (2 items daily).

Royal Suite butler service also includes luggage unpacking and repacking, free laundry and pressing, and in-room dining service.

Laundry and pressing services (for a fee) are available for all Standard cabins (there are no self-service laundry facilities on the ship).

Cabin service is provided twice daily.
