All Scenic Diamond cabins have a maximum capacity of 2 guests. With the exception of the lower (Jewel Deck 1) cabins (located at water level), all other staterooms (87%) are balcony cabins. They are advertised by Scenic Tours as “Suite” accommodations with “Sun Lounges”. Each of these features a private step-out balcony designed for all-weather use. The ship offers 14 cabin categories.
Below is a review of Scenic Diamond staterooms, including furniture, price-included amenities, and complimentary services:
- All Scenic Diamond rooms feature queen beds (some convertible to twin beds) with deluxe Egyptian cotton bedding sets (sheets and duvets). The Single Suite has a single bed. Cabins also include bedside tables, a private en-suite luxury bathroom (WC, sink, shower cubicle, lighted mirror, color lighting system, luxury bath products including shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner, and body lotion), sliding-door closets (hangers, drawers, shelves), flat HDTV (with “View From the Bridge” real-time webcam views), desk (jutting countertop with bookcase and white leather stool), safe, mini-bar (complimentary and restocked daily with soda, juice, sparkling water, liqueur, and snacks), iPod station (with clock), hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, umbrella, individual climate control, and 220V power outlets (European and Australian sockets; American passengers require adapters).
- Jewel Deck rooms feature fixed, non-opening picture windows located high on the riverside wall.
- All Suites feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening to a private, full-size outdoor veranda (furnished with black-and-white wicker chairs). This innovative balcony design is known as the “Sun Lounge”. It is a glass-enclosed sitting area (part of the cabin) located behind floor-to-ceiling windows that can open. Behind the windows are sheer and blackout curtains. This sun lounge area can easily transform into an outdoor veranda at the push of a button.
- Suite bathrooms feature large glass-enclosed showers with doors.
- Junior Suites include bathtubs and an expanded vanity sink area with mirrored cabinets.
- Royal Panorama Suites are the largest and feature aft-wall windows, a sun lounge, a sitting area (couch), and a large bathroom (shower, no bathtub).
- Royal Suites feature a larger sitting area and long bathrooms (ample cabinet space, bathtub, and small shower).
- The ship has only one single cabin, sized as a half balcony suite, with a full-size closet, balcony, and bathroom.
- The only wheelchair-accessible cabin is located on Diamond Deck 3 and is similar to a Junior Suite (larger entry door, modified shower, fold-down seat, grab bar, and no bathtub).
- All furniture details can be seen on the Scenic Diamond cabin plans in the table above.
- Complimentary butler service is available to all passengers, offering shoeshine service, shore excursion arrangements, spa reservations, and drinks. Guests in all balcony cabin categories additionally enjoy cocktail party arrangements and morning coffee/tea service.
- Diamond Deck 3 Suite guests also receive room service breakfast and complimentary pressing of two items daily.
- Royal Suite butlers also provide luggage unpacking/repacking, free laundry and pressing, and in-room dining service.
- Laundry and pressing services are available for Riverview/window cabin passengers for a fee (there are no self-service laundry facilities onboard).
